Hello!

I have a pretty random question for you all, so I plan on traveling to Australia for a visit at some point, and I was curious if there are any flight or international flight regulations with flying with fertile Emu eggs or even small Emu chicks? Is it allowed? I've been researching online for a while but cant seem to find any information whatsoever about the subject. I even went onto the Australian TSA page....I'm in the US so it would be AUS to US travel.

Thanks so much!:wee

Ok so it sounds like you mean that you are travelling TO AUS with these items. My knowledge is limited but I have a friend from Australia who lives in the US and complains that she cannot move back without leaving her dog in quarantine for 6 months once she gets to Australia. Australia has 0 cases of rabies and this strict rule is one of the reasons they are able to keep it out of the country. Now, as for fowl, I do not know but I would think you are going to run up against some trouble.

Lol, thanks. No, im trying to travel from Australia to the US, with either emu eggs (from AUS) or Emu Chicks

What you are seeking to do is illegal and any eggs or chicks must come through a USDA quarantine facility and be quarantined for at least 30 days and tested for diseases. And, at least in the past, Australia did not allow export of emu eggs or chicks--so, there would not even be a possibility to bring any into quarantine unless Australia changed its laws/regulations.
