Has anyone tried one of these? I see several sites selling the same style under different names. Wondering if it's a decent product or cheap China junk.

for $30 it is too good to be true. I see how rain gets into it in freezes and how cheap plastic breaks when a coon gives it a scratch.

After researching online I found the Model D20 chicken door motor on Google. it lifts and lowers like a fishing reel so it lowers with gravity and wont crush a chicken. AutomaticChickenCoopDoor.com Everything is now warrantied and handled by a company here in the US. I recommend the model D20 chicken door motor.

Thanks for this! I've been looking for a few months but hadn't come upon this particular version. I just ordered and am crossing my fingers that it is the solution I've been looking for!
