Am only 6 months into chicken owning journey.
Our Coop is enclosed inside the run, and has a door with a sliding door lock which we open at around 7.30am and close at around 6pm.
I’ve just discovered one can buy and install an automated system! 🤣
i was especially thinking about the mornings, ie an automatic door would allow them out earlier, if that’s what some wanted to do, instead of waiting for one of us to do so.

There’s too many option so I was hoping for recommendations which are easy to install, reliable and cheap!

I have RUN-CHICKEN and like it. It's battery operated and automatically opens 15 min before sunrise and closes 15 min after sunset. It has an little blue indicator light that tells you when it's approaching open/close time. It also is supposed blink red if the batteries need replacing but I installed mine 7 months ago and still no issues.

Super easy to install too. Pretty pricey, though.

Judging by your screenshot, I'm guessing you're not located in the US but I'm pretty sure they deliver overseas.

Please put your general location in your profile. It helps us to help you better where location/climate/etc. are relevant.

I use and recommend the ChickenGuard brand, but there are a number of good ones out there. My #1 requirement: It much have a mechanism to safely shut the door without crushing a chicken. Mine lowers the door via a string, so if a chicken is in the door, it won't get crushed. It has worked great for 6+ years.

I always tell people to make their own. Depending on what features you want, it can be real simple. Plus the upside of doing it yourself, you can also FIX IT YOURSELF.

It helps you tell everyone what features you want/need.

In any case look up the ADOR1 or runchicken doors.
