aviary plants

can anyone identify this plant? i wanted a few plants in my quail aviary and dont know were to start. please give me anyother plant ideas like this.

I know ferns are non toxic, and grasses should be fine (not sure what the plant in the photo is sorry). Here's a good article about safe and toxic plants in aviaries:

I use pitisporum trees and pansies.

it looks kinda like fennel. break of a little piece, and and if it smells like black licorice, that's your plant. i don't think its toxic to quail, but i could be wrong. i eat it all the time, and so far i haven't keeled over died.
