Look, this is my first post and I know it may be against the rules to link to outside sources but I really need some help.

the other day my baby chicks eye was randomly swollen shut. We took her to the vet and have been applying terramycin for two days now.

I woke up this morning and checked on her before work and noticed the swelling had went down. I just got home from work and checked on her again and noticed that she was now able to open her eye lid.

this seemed like good news at first but I got to looking at her eye and it looks really bad. Could you guys please tell me if you think she is going to make it and what I should do? i know she is in pain and I am worried sick. Here Is the timeline of events and pictures. Please give your opinion.

Welcome to BYC. It is hard to see the eye well in the pictures, but it does look swollen, and the eye looks abnormal. How old is she, and do you think that she was pecked in the eye by another chicken? Does the eye appear intact to you or does it seem like it was pierced? Terramycin is a good antibiotic ointment for treating mycoplasma (MG) infection that causes conjunctivitis (pinkeye) and sinus infection. A picture close-up of the eye posted here might be helpful.
