Chick also has a mass/ball at the end of the keel bone. It looks like she has some kind of internal damage since the area looks like a bruise. She’s moving around fine and is eating and drinking. Though she’s really thin and tiny compared to her siblings. Though I have seen that she’s hunched over and her wings are droopy.

I’ve been trying to find out what this could be. Possibly mushy chick? I was thinking of drawing some blood from the area, just to see if it’s blood or puss. I decided to join BYC to get some opinions/possible answers with treatment options. I included some pictures as well. Feel free to ask any questions.

Whoa, I'm not sure what to think is there a reason why.... Also why it looks wet, definitely looks like some kind of internal bleeding but I'm no veterinarian....I figured just try to take care of it the best you can, and let nature take its course as well and not limited to survival of the fittest...

Keep us updated on the chickie, also good for future readers, researchers just in case anyone else comes across this problem... Hopefully it'll self heal

Yep that’s what I was thinking. Since it’s most likely an internal issue, there’s nothing much I can do. It looks wet because I washed the area and put essential oils on it. I’ve gently put pressure on the area and it doesn’t seem to cause them any pain(from what I can tell). So far nothing has changed, but if they get worse then I’ll take them to be put down.

Wow I'm surprised it's lived this long..... What's an anomaly like that very interesting!
