Hi, BackYard Chicken family.
Two nights ago, on my walk, I found what I have come to understand is a chick.
It has feathers and was hopping around. I listened for and looked all around for a mama hen and siblings that night and the next day, but no one came. Plus, the chick was in the middle of one of our feral cat colonies. In fact, one gray cat was right beside it when I happened upon it.

Please let me know if you or someone you know can bring this chick into their current bundle of chicks or chickens. We don't have any outdoor space for it, and we have two indoor cats. But for now, please know that the chick is safe here. I'm worried mostly about it eating and the fact that it seems to have a left foot that isn't quite right. You can see it in the photo . . . a little red. (I can touch the foot without causing pain, no blood or bulging or break. Likely the reason it "couldn't keep up" with the other chicks and got left behind).
