Baby Chinese goose not walking unless I help her move by gently picking her up and pushing her butt. She takes a few steps then falls

We bought her from the store where we buy all of our chickens, ducks, turkeys. This time we thought they where just strange ducks… they where Chinese baby geese. We assume one is male and one is female. One is very tall and loud the other is small and quiet… she is strange looking but she’s very beautiful. Shes my favorite.

ANYWAYS today she’s was fine I didn’t notice anything out of the blue and then boom! She stopped walking, eating, drinking, and doesn’t put up a fight and we can FEEL HER BONES.

Now her friend the male. Oh he’s fine. He’s actually chubby. He’s just super mean. I felt him and turned him over on his back to check his wings or for any leg problems. he seems fine. I turned the baby girl over and the tips of her wings are gone and there was blood on 1 wing. I don’t mean to panic but we immediately split them up. I read about geese cannibalism just like chickens and ducks.

So I played her on her back on her pine shavings and she just laid there on the ground. I picked her up and put her in front of her water bowl and push the end of her nose into the water. She can walk when she needs to find warmth but it’s only a few steps. Now for her neck, her head instead of being tall like the males. Hers is down like she’s not wanting to stretch it. Not wanting to move it. Everybody in my family started to google what’s wrong. There is SO MANY THINGS. I have to open her mouth for her and shove food in there but she will drink water. I’m wondering if she’s traumatized from what the male did.

I put the male with my baby ducks and watched what he would do. My duck went to eat and the male goose went straight FOR HIS EYE. We removed him from all contact with other birds. I see why they made those geese “guard dogs” for prisons in china. They ARE MEAN. Except for her. She’s definitely different. We gave her vitamins and minerals and gave her a “grass smoothie” just mushy grass to help her get it down better. Im hopeful she will live now that we separated them but at the same time… if she can’t walk. How will she eat and drink. Even her drinking is weird. She just sips it a little bit and doesn’t want anymore. She literally shakes her head no. I feel so bad for her. Feels like I should have been watching them 24/7. How do I get this Traumatized bird to eat.

What's the temperature where she is? Goslings need higher temperatures than adult geese. Some individuals are more vulnerable to low temperature than the others.

What's the humidity where she is? It shouldn't be too humid. Too high humidity might lead to fungi infection.

What kinds of vitamins are you giving? Is there niacin?

What food has she been eating before this happened?

Can you bring her to a vet who sees birds (make sure the vet knows she's a pet, not a wild animal)?

Core temperature is very important
If less than 2 weeks old check her butt for a clog this will shut them down (pasty Butt).
Also if she has lost her core temperature at some point she may not be able to come back from that.
A trauma to a gosling also is hard for them to come back from. (such as a stampede lost one that way a few years ago she never came back and was 3 weeks).
Someone may have bullyed her away from her heat source it dosent take log to louse core temp.
I wouldn't be feeding grass even as a milkshake unless she is eating grit with it slushy wet starter is a better choice it has grit in it. If her core temperature has dropped she wouldn't be able to eat. warm water is a must you can add b vitamins, honey, ko or molasses to boost er energy and get her digestive system working.

You said traumatized - therefore I think she could be in shock- and needs electrolytes, warmth, darkness & quiet. If you have some kind of electrolyte drink like Pedialyte put that in a dish, let her drink it or you can make your own electrolytes by putting 1 teaspoon of sugar in a cup of water and add a pinch of salt and baking soda .

How is she now?
ALIVE AND WELL! she Actually turned out strong. She’s eating and drinking and running around. Her little wings are damaged but she will be okay. We separated the boy from her. They both have their own brooder. We used water food and grass “milkshake” and pumped her full of vitamins and wrapped her up and a warm blanket. She still makes that noise her voice is so quiet but if we take her outside with the boy they cuddle, play, and follow me around. It’s time to take away their brooder away and take them outside.

Supeizingly she never had that problem. Unfortunately she had to take warm baths cuz she pooped and just laid in it. I believe the hair dryer helped her warm up to lol she really liked it
