I have a poult who has no egg tooth, but it’s pip was enlarged by its mother, who is also the cause if the missing egg tooth, and it wants freedom from the shell. I was going to let it do that, but then I saw a decent amount of un absorbed yolk still in the egg. How do I stop it from hatching to early? It’s struggling and determined to escape.
The pip is big enough for it to escape if it tears the membrane, it’s been in the incubator with 70+ humidity ( to avoid shrinkwrapping) for 24 hours now. I thought it’d be fully absorbed, but apparently not.
I need help sooner than later as I a need sleep and don’t know what to do.
