Barred Rock Earlobe has Scab, Treat or Leave Alone?

The title states it all, I will try and get photos here in a few.

My Barred Rock hen has a scab on her earlobe. The injury itself looks like a chunk was taken/pecked out. The scab is dry and does not look infected or nasty. Are these injuries more common to fighting or could she have scratched it? More importantly, should I just leave it alone or treat it? I have TAO plus a wound cleaning/closing spray that is meant for dogs/cats. The spray is probably unwise since the ear canal is so close to the wound.

I "tried" to get several but she was not having it.

Yes, indeed. Our chickens are quick to let us know when we do something to displease them. And to think most people consider them merely a food source. :confused:
