Barred rock or Wyandotte?!!!

i am looking for a good egg layer but MUST be friendly and docile... I can't decide between these two breeds

barred rock would obviously outlay a Wyandotte but which ones friendlier?!

I don't have a ton of experience with chicks. However, while brooding my first batch I have noticed that my Wyandottes are much more docile and friendly to other chicks. My BR are more forward and have been picking on some of the other chicks.

Actually in my experience with both breeds, Barred Rocks don't outlay Wyandottes. I've typically gotten about 4 eggs per hen per week from both breeds. Also, both breeds are generally docile. I've occasionally had an aggressive one in both breeds but that has been the exception rather than the rule. For me personally, the only difference between the two breeds would be a matter of aesthetics, so my advice it to go with the breed you think is the prettier of the two.
