Hello my fellow BYC'rs,
I was thinking to myself earlier today; where is a great place to advertise my available kittens from my breeding program to nice people, and of course this forum came to mind.
At this time I have three kittens still available for deposit from my current litter of Old-Style Balinese kittens. For those who do not know about the breed, the Balinese cat breed is basically the natural and purebred long-haired version of the Siamese cat. We are not talking about Rag-dolls, or Himalayan cats which are human created color pointed breeds. The long-haired gene in the Siamese cat is very rare due to it being recessive and when breeders in the early 1900's started getting long-haired Siamese they though they were faulty cats and hid the "results" or culled them. Little did these breeders know of the many rare and outstanding qualities this wonderful cat breed had. After much effort 3 initial breeders starting breeding these long-haired Siamese offspring in the mid 1900's, and that is how the long-haired Siamese breed was recognized on its own as the Balinese cat.
Balinese cats are not only a beautiful cat breed, but are known for being very affectionate and loving companions by nature. Compared to puppies, they love attention and yearn for a close relationship with their owners. Balinese cats are also very intelligent, and they make out to be the best cat companion for those who are allergic to cats. Balinese cats are one of the few and rare cat breeds that are hypoallergenic; relatively unlikely to produce an allergic reaction. This is due to them genetically producing less of the Fel d 1&4 protein allergen that causes cat allergies to those sensitive to them. All these qualities can be proved and researched through literature, and word of mouth from owners of pure Balinese cats.
My family and I breed these beautiful cats and we take much pride in our breeding program, and in producing kittens of exceptional quality. Our goal is to raise awareness of the Old-Style Siamese/Balinese breed and help preserve and improve their lines. We are located in Bergen county, NJ. 20 minutes from NYC.
General reputable breeder prices for Old-Style Balinese kittens depend on many factors which include the location of the breeder, expenses, breeding line quality, demand and color point. They could range anywhere from $850-$1,000.00+. Prices do vary depending on these factors, but you must keep in mind that Balinese cats are a beautiful, exotic, hypoallergenic, and rare cat breed and demand a higher price due to these reasons.
At this time we have a litter of 6 kittens from Bella and Achilles that were born on January 26th, 2014. They will be ready to go to their permanent homes on May 21st, 2014, with my veterinarians certified approval.. I currently have (3) reservation deposits at this time.
