Hi, need to know if I’m being dramatic or if this chicken’s comb looks like it has the beginnings of frostbite? We definitely have good ventilation in the coop and outside weather is around 30degF. No other chickens have discolored combs, this one has been sick recently and is small.

thanks

Doesn't look like frostbite to me. That is usually pale to begin with and then darkens and turns black. You can google and get lots of pictures for comparison. This comb looks purple or blue, can indicate lack of or low oxygen in the blood. Since she's been sick, likely the reason. Sometimes this will happen during excitement or stress and will pass in an otherwise normal bird.
