Bellevue, NE Permit

I have found a few threads about Bellevue, NE and their chicken permits. The reason why is because I am currently searching for my first house with my current husband who works on base. So obviously being closer to base is ideal. The market is kind of poop. But, I also don't want to buy a house to be told what I can do with it, another reason we are not going with an HOA.

So, I guess I am just looking for people who have more recently completed the process. I still plan on calling the city and asking either way I just wanted to see if anyone had relevant experience.
