I'm with microchick. The self-latching gate latches have a hole through which a carabiner can be fit. I can open it with one hand while my other hand has a tray of kitchen scraps but even a clever raccoon can't manipulate it with both agile hands.

While you're at it, make sure you dig your screening in 12-18" or pile the foundation high with large rocks so predators aren't able to dig their way in.

I thought about using the self latching thingies on one of my gates. As soon as I did our dog would be figuring out how to open it when I had it unsecured with a carabiner and would be in getting up close and personal with my birds, LOL.

One of the best security measures I can recommend for any coop and run is a hot wire around the parameter. Predators and curious dogs will try once to get in but they will seldom try twice.
