Best way to find a chicken foster home

I am looking for the best way to find a temporary foster home for my 6 hens. I was just evicted and don't have a place to go that allows chickens. I need to find a loving temporary home for my girls. I'm so devastated to even be writing this. I'm located in Dubuque, Iowa. If anybody knows of anyone or a good organization in the surrounding areas I would really appreciate it.

Maybe you can ask your friends/families to temporarily take care of them for you

I personally would check with family and friends first, just to see if they would be willing to foster them for a little bit.

I've reached out to the very people I know here. I'm pretty much alone here and I don't think flying them to CA where I'm from is an option. How would one go about shipping chickens?
