Hi all!

Im adding a Bielefelder roo to my flock (having a Cochin raise him). I’ve heard they’re a great choice for their general temperament, I’d love to hear about them if anyone has any experience & also about their crosses. I’ve got a mixed flock and im not sure how the genetics would carry over as i dont really have many with the barred look.

I’m really looking forward to him. I had an accidental easter egger roo that I wanted to keep but got rid of once he started being a raging menace so I’m hoping this time will be better. Last week i got a Brahma Roo as a chick & he fell in the water (even with rocks) and died. I’m pretty bummed out about it but it’s part of it.

Anyways, I’ve got the following hens:
RIR
light brahma
Australorp
Jersey giant
Buff & blue Orpington
White Cochin
Opal legbar
Ayam cemani
Salmon faverolle
Blue Copper marans

Has anyone crossed a bielefelder roo with these?

Thanks!!

For the record yellow here means heterozygous for gold and silver. As chicks these males will appear silver but as they get older they will get yellow on their hackles and saddles.
Bielefelder crossed with...
RIR= red columbian barred (Rhodebar color)
Light Brahma= sexlinked chicks. Males will be yellow columbian barred, females will be red columbian barred. Feathered legs, pea combs.
Australorp= barred chicks, maybe leakage (leakage is silver, yellow, gold or red showing through on an otherwise black bird. It's more common on males than females.)
Jersey Giant= barred chicks
Buff Orpington= black tailed buff barred
Blue Orpington= barred chicks and blue barred chicks, maybe leakage
White Cochin= Cochins are recessive white. Who knows what colors lurk beneath the surface? A mystery. Feathered legs.
Opal Legbar= red crele (Bielefelder color)
Ayam Cemani= barred chicks, maybe leakage
Salmon Faverolle= sexlinks. Females most resemble red crele, males are yellow crele. However, because of the wheaten gene, the females will be a more homogenized orange all over rather than the defined crele color of Bielefelders. Feathered legs, five toes.
Blue copper= blue copper barred and black copper barred (aka golden cuckoo.) Whether they have feathered legs depends on the Marans parent.
