The truth. That you aren’t allowed to have roosters where you are and he unfortunately has to go BUT you can find him a great home with someone that won’t eat him if desired and tell them about the great new home he’ll have.

After having to 'rehome' 10 RIR cockerels I've had to accept the idea they won't all be pets, and it's made me a bit insensitive on the subject.

I have a chicken just like this, but with no red wattles or comb. It has a black walnut comb....do you guys think it's a rooster too?
