I'm a new chicken mama looking for help identifying the breed and sex of these chickens!
They were in rough shape when we brought them home, missing feathers in some places. The lady we purchased them from told us they were Black Copper Marans, but I'm not too sure. We're also not 100% that they are both pullets or the ages of them (somewhere between 3-4 months we think). Please help!
Bo-peep is the smaller of the two, Gwyneth Poultry's comb just started to get red (it was pale pink before).

First bird has a pea comb, & 5 toes. Thinking possible silkie in it's ancestry.

The other one looks like a black Australorp, but may also be a mix.

Gwen might be a cockerel with the reddening and some saddle feathers I see, Bo peep looks like a pullet, neither are marans. I think Gwen has a pea comb.
Does Bo peep have black/gray feet soles and black/gray mouth? if she does, she could be a Svart Hona or at least a mix of one. but most likely a Australorp mix.
