I just noticed that a few of my younger hens have started pecking and jumping on one of my older hens and I went to check her out and noticed that she had been scratched on the back of the neck and had some blood coming out. As far as I know it's not too serious but is there anything I can do to help her cut heal, and feathers grow back faster? I've already separated the main ones I saw.

Veterycin spray or plain neosporin can be used. Once it's healing up blu-kote can hide the redness and help prevent pecking. You can wrap her in a towel to help hold her still if she's not liking being handled, if she's hard to catch then take her off the roost after dark. Since she's an older bird I would keep an eye on her to make sure there isn't something else going on that is drawing attacks from the others. A sick or weak bird may be not terribly noticable to us at first but the other birds will know and it can draw attacks.

Veterycin is GREAT stuff ... like Unicorn tears. I keep it on hand all the time. Use it on my dogs ... and me

When I said older I just meant she was older than the younger ones she's only 1 1/2 years old and the younger ones are only about 7 months old.

She may be starting to molt if she is 18 months or so, and that can invite pecking or bullying when one doesn’t feel so well. Make sure that she is getting enough to eat and drink. Watch who is doing the pecking, and it might be best to keep her inside a crate with her own food and water for a few days. Once they see any red, they will keep pecking at it.

Yeah I think she is starting to molt. Would 3% hydrogen peroxide also be safe to put on her neck?
