Blind turkey

I got a few day old baby turkey from Tractor Supply and both of its eyes seem to be non-operational. I am currently feeding it with a syringe giving it a water/feed paste and also giving it water from a gallon mixture I made with a teaspoon of molasses and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in it because I heard that was good to help with potentially weak or lethargic babies. I have recently used microcyn on the eyes I’m not sure it will effect anything, any tips or help would be appreciated

Do not give it ACV.

If it is blind, I would cull it.
Why not give ACV?? I’ve read everything about using it including using it on blind turkeys and it says it’s okay….not sure what culling is but the only reason I even have the turkey is to save it sooo it’s gonna stay with my current baby chicks and then just be a part of the flock

My experience as a backyard homesteader: the turkey poults went into the brooder with chicks and keets. No blackhead disease.

Also my experience: A blind poult may have more going on in its little body than may be overcome, and the outcome will be sad.

I hope for the best.

Acv is useless, especially in municipal water.
Unfortunately, it's not going to have a good life blind and can't live with your chickens due to blackhead disease.
It’s not useless it has beneficial properties for all birds. Alsooo what does blackhead disease have to do with anything they get that from a parasite…the turkey doesn’t have a parasite/blackhead disease aaaand chickens can get that too aand I have plenty of people I know who have a mixed flock from chickens to geese to turkeys to Guineas soo I think they’ll live together just fine but thankyou for your concern

Municipal water contains sterilizers, it kills any probiotics in the minor amounts of acv added to it.
Chickens can carry blackhead disease but turkeys die from it. It's foolish to keep turkeys and chickens together.
You'll notice the skull also looks malformed on the bird, not good.
To be frank, turkeys poults aren't smart enough to survive blind. They barely survive with sight.

There is a lot of bad information posted about the benefits of ACV for birds. It can actually be very harmful. Among other things it can interfere with the proper absorption of calcium.

The only reason ACV works for people is because of the placebo effect. If you believe something will work, your body can actually produce those benefits whether you are actually taking the thing that is supposed to help.

Birds cannot experience the placebo effect.
