I “rescued” some silkies and one black (supposed) Astrolop. We aren’t sure what all is wrong. I have them isolated away from my main flock, with an electric fence buffer to keep a 6 ft DMZ type zone).
They aren’t as active as my normal flock but they aren’t lethargic either. Their legs have definite SLM symptoms and they had clusters of nits at feather bases.
I stared with Invermextin between the shoulder blades, and gave them nutria drench. The black Astrolop has bald patches and some flecks on her comb. And the sillies combs and waddles and skin look like:
What else should I be treating with or are these guys just a lost cause? I haven’t named them yet, so if I need to cull to keep my main flock safe, I will.
