Blood in egg? Can I eat it? Is it normal???

Is this normal? I didn’t know what to put this under. And also these are two different eggs.

It can happen sometimes. If it happens once or twice, it's likely just a glitch in the hen's system. If it is happening frequently, that could indicate that something else is going on, but that is less likely.

When I get any blood spots or anything similar in an egg, I will either give it back to the chickens or feed it to one of my dogs. I don't know if it would do any actual harm, but it grosses me out way too much to even think of eating it.

Yes, you can eat it.
Blood spots are from a blood vessel breaking when ova is released from follicle.

Don’t worry about - the hen was disturbed well laying the egg

Harmless to eat, just doesn't look appetizing. If it's just a little bit like that, I'd eat it without issue. If there's more blood (like where the entire white gets tinted) those I toss, it's just too gross and makes the egg grayish when cooked.
