I have a bunch of 6 week old chicks. I have two sultans, a Swedish flower hen, and a barred rock. I had one other Swedish flower but she passed yesterday after a seizure.
Now recently, in the coop I have been noticing, that there has been “blood” in stool where the chicks are, though the poo is not almost black with blood, it’s more pinkish and not throughout most of it.
I found this stool near my Swedish who passed yesterday, and I’m worried it could be the cause of some sort of disease or virus?
I’m seeing it again with the chicks I have still in the brooder, and it slightly worries me that it could be something wrong and I don’t want to lose my babies :(.
I have read about a disease that starts with a “c” and how there can be bloody stool, but that the stool looks almost black that it’s filled with so much blood. That’s not the stuff I’m seeing looks. Please help cause I’m worrying a lot.:barnie

The disease is coccidiosis- contagious and deadly. It strikes young chickens mostly, I think. You must get Corid to treat it ASAP!! @Eggcessive or @Wyorp Rock can help you with the proper dosage. This is the liquid Corid, but it also comes in a powder. You can find it in Tractor Supply near the cow stuff. View attachment 1832905
Thank you! I will try to get it as soon as possible! I live in a mountain area and may have to order it online. Does this disease end with a chick dying from a seizure because that’s how my chick passed yesterday...

Coccidiosis can prevent them from absorbing nutrients.
Being deficient can cause seizures and death quickly.
