This morning making eggs - one of our eggs we cracked open the entire white of the egg was bloody. Not like a single egg spot but the entire egg white. Is this ok? Should I be concerned over this hen?

I had a welsummer hen who did that occasionally, then with every egg and finally she stopped laying altogether before the age of 1. I scrambled her eggs to feed back to the chickens or the dogs. It helps to identify the hen with the problem, in case you give away or sell eggs. Blood spots are very common in chicken, but a bloody egg is not. Here is a similar thread about bloody egg whites:

I 've only had one like that ever. It was a giant egg. I couldn't believe any one of my girls laid it and was so curious to see how many yolks were in there. I was sure there would be 3 or 4.

Grossed out and sadly disappointed that it was one yolk and a lot of dark blood.

Since it never happened again I assumed it was a fluke and the hens system righted itself.
