where do I start? I have a 4 yr old hen and a 1 yr old Roo who is unmerciful to her. She is the only one who looks like shes molting and new feather points are coming in. She won't wear an apron, I put it on and she just sits on the ground. It's getting cold up here in Michigan fast Everybody's treats have been cut back to almost out. they get Complete in all the waters. I'm giving the brewers yeast and garlic sprinkled on top of their crumble.

How many chickens do you have all together? Do you have a wire dog crate or pen where you can separate the rooster with food and water for awhile? Do you have any pictures? Hens can get used to hen saddles/aprons. I make a one piece one out of polarfleece that is only held on by the wings. It frightens the others right at first, but if you put it on at night on the roost, they usually don’t pay attention to it.

I re-read my question, indeed i was upset and sound stupid. I am sorry. Its raining again but I kept the old lady in here the coop with me for personal TLC. I have 1- 3 yr. old black hen (she went broody when i was babysitting a flock last summer. Owner said i could keep her and the chicks) She hatched 6 eggs I checked everybody's vent, the boys are good. They get vinegar in the out bowls. They free range so they have 4 bowls out and about. But in the run and the coop they get compleat added to the water, no vinegar. What else can I do?

A lot of times even with the straight blacks the yellow will go away with age. A lot of them have yellow in the legs when young.

Can you post a photo of the splat?

What is Complete that you are adding to the water - a photo of the product?

I'm not sure about your question - are you seeing bloody poop?
Is the hen acting lethargic?
When did she last lay an egg?
Any injuries?

You're going to have to give more information expressing your concern(s)? Are you wanting help with the bloody splat, the hen with feather loss....?
You mention the rooster is merciless to her - overmating, beating her up, what's he doing?
