so I have a question the last few weeks every now and then we get an egg that has blood smears on them. Today they pulled one out of the pin as all the others started targeting her today. So I came over as she's one of mine and sure enough there's blood all over her but. Is there any way to fix this?

Best pic we could get of her

You need to separate her into a dog crate with food and water, but keep her in sight of the other chickens. Inspect her vent area, clean it up, and try to get a picture. Eggs in new layers can commonly have a smear of blood on them, but your hen has been vent pecked. Cannibalism can be common if there is overcrowding, too little protein in the diet, or if they are bored and don’t get outside to free range in the yard. What type of feed are they getting? Layers need a 16% layer feed.

Vent pecking and cannibalism can lead to vent damage, which can affect how well the hen can lay eggs and pass droppings. This can cause bacteria to be introduced into the reproductive tract as well, and that can later increase chances for reproductive infections and salpingitis. Agressive hens may need to be removed temporarily to change the pecking order, and sometimes permanently, since it can spread to other flock members as a bad habit.

Here are some good articles to read about vent pecking:

They get layer feed we by from tractor supply and they have oyster shells for when ever they want. She is in her own cage as of yesterday as the other chickens were chasing her. I'll be cleaning her up some more today. if it's just from vent pecking will she be ok in time?

She should heal unless she has something else going on. Chickens will chase and try to harm others if they feel they are weak or dying. Also she may just be really low in pecking order. But sometimes there are bullies, and they may have to be removed temporarily or permently if a weeklong break doesn’t help. Spend some time with them after she is better and you may find out what is going on.

You can use Vetericyn Wound Spray on her bottom or some plain Triple Antibiotic Ointment if her wounds are serious. Later BluKote can be used to cover any red areas, or now if it isn’t too deep.
