Hi guys,

Can you please post your newborn/one day old Silkies of the above colours? Particularly interested in lavender. My guys came from a mixed flock and still drying off. I'd just like to see the difference between the three colours on a new chick, if possible. :)

Gray is the same as silver partridge and the chicks will be chipmunk striped. They will have grey tones instead of brown as chicks and look very different as adults.
Blue is part of blue/black/splash and the chicks at hatch can vary. They can look so light that they look lavender, to so dark that they look black.
Lavender chicks are a very light silver and are uniform in color. This is a fairly rare color still in Silkies.😊
These are all chicks that I have had:

This chick had a lot of health issues and unfortunately passed at 3 days of age.

The brown one was a partridge. She had two stripes down her back that eventually disappeared. The painted turned a lovely white with deep dark black splotches on her back and wings. I got these from a private breeder near Dallas. They advertise that they have lavender silkies, but I haven't had one of those.
