Blue Laced Red Wyandottes

Hello! I was sent some Blue Laced Red Wyandottes from Mt Healthy Hatchery. They are about 2 months old. This hatchery sends an extra chick but last time I ordered the chick was a male. I ordered one pullet, so one should be female. The extra one could also be female, but because they’re so different I assume I have a cockerel.
I’m really stuck on the sex but I’m leaning male because of the color differences and feather coloring. Any thoughts?
The first two pictures are of my suspected female and the last three are of the suspected cockerel.

I also have bantam BLRWs, but they have entirely different traits, so sexing them will be difficult.

Thank you. I’ll update the thread when I either get crowing or eggs I’m not super familiar with this breed.

Both appear to be pullets.

When you breed BLRW you can get different shades of blue, as well as other colors such as black and splash. So the slight color difference is not an indicator of gender.

Okay. The darker one did feather in slower than the other. But the lighter one has more pink on her wattle. I’m just new to this breed. Thank you!

This, you get a variety of shades of blue in BLRW. You also get a variety of shades of red (some leaning more gold).

The best early indicator of sex in wyandottes is patches of unlaced red/gold feathers that start coming in on their shoulders. This is usually visible before the male's pointy saddle feathers, and even female wyandottes will sometimes get pink combs at a young age.
