Books on raising ducks ?

I just brought home 2 white pekin duck babies... they are so cute. They are to be pets where as my chickens will be dual purpose (comprimise with the kids) They came from a straight run, so no idea what sex they are... that is TBD at a later date.

I'm a reader and was wondering what books about duck raising would you all recommend? There are so many out there and I just don't want to spend the money on a book that isn't going to be a good resource. I've had my chicks for almost 3 weeks now and the ducks for less than 24 hours - I'm hooked and these guys won't be the last arriving on the farm.

Im also a new mommy to 2pekins, 1 mallard and an odd ball....???? I was told he/she was a mallard...but Im thinking NOT....

Ive read up alot on the 3 and the one possible....blue swedish???? I use the internet as my tool....and BYC...I just ask and ASK....

Everyone recommends Storeys, but I recommend "The Ultimate Pet Duck Guidebook" By Kim Link. I bought mine from http://www.metzerfarms.com/BooksAndEquipment.cfm?Category=Book&CustID=258530

I is VERY detailed, and I still use it as an everyday guide. It helps me with ALL my problems. I have 2 Pekins, too. For egg, and as pets, and I highly recommend this guide.

That is a blue swedish. I have seen some swedish that almost don't look like them, but yours is definitely a blue swedish.

They send out a monthly newsletter that contains some great info also! I get it emailed to me but you can just view it on their website if you don't want the emails.

... I'll be checking out both of those books. I'm looking forward to having these ducks around the farm. They are so cute already and only a few days old.
