Hello! I’m on my way with my first foray into chickens (and in love with them). We got our chicks from Tractor Supply. It seems like our 5 buff colored chicks might have been mislabeled, so I’m hoping for help in ID-ing breed and gender?

Attached are some photos- sorry for so many, but I numbered all the chicks I could tell apart. They are about 8-10 weeks old.

Hi !! I’m a newbie too.. I just posted this afternoon about my own babies around the same age. Feel free to check out my post to compare- I have a barred rock, buff orph. - the consensus is I have mostly Roos. After seeing yours I’m feeling like that’s true. Good luck to you !!

Thanks! The silkies I knew, got from a great breeder, hoping they turn out to be pullets.

The barred rocks were labeled black sex links. They all have darkish markings on their legs.

The Golden’s were marked “pullets”. The guy working said they were buff orpingtons, but they all have yellow legs, so I’m not sure.

Thanks! I just looked through your thread. Fingers crossed you end up with some pullets in the bunch

They do kind of have the facial features of Buff Orpingtons, they just look a little dark to me. Maybe my girls are just losing their color because they're old ladies
To be honest, I've never owned any sex links and don't know exactly how that works, but knowing TSC, they very well could be.
