I purchased 6 chicks from TSC labeled as Barred Rocks. They are now 17 weeks old. One is for sure a roo, but this girl/guy is confusing me… it isn’t light like the other roo, but the tail feathers are much bigger than the other hens. Today I also noticed some green/blue in the feathers. I’m wondering if they are different than they were labeled. Any thoughts?

Definitely a roo. Saddle and hackle feathers are starting, and if you look closely in the first photo, that wing has a single green feather. I've never seen a hen with a single wing feather like that! But roos get all sorts of wing feather colors.

That's what I thought I just wasn't sure because I'm not very familiar with either breed
