I am wondering about breeding for blue cream with Silkies.
My understanding is the proper coloration is the more uniform mixture of buff and lav where there are minimal gradients. I much prefer the blue cream silkies that are washed out looking with primarily buff bodies and a lav head. How do I breed for this specifically?
I have a variety of quality birds from various breeders.
I have a lav rooster
2 blue cream chicks that are so far feathering out heavy on the lav
2 buff chicks
3 lav chicks (so far 2 are very faint lav, almost white)
3 blue cream chicks that I believe will be the more uniform coloration with slight hints of buff throughout
What combination will give me the look I am after?
Thanks!
