Hello,
I have a Bresse Gauloise Rooster (in Europe, in case it makes any difference from American Bresse) and several hens of the same breed (Bresse).
I also have 1 hen only, of a local breed similar in color pattern to the plymouth rock (below are example pictures of both breeds).
I incubated, and got 2 chicks which have a few black spots (only minor dark areas, 5 to 10% of surface dark). All others had pure white feathers (well, light yellow at hatch). I am of course sure these are mixed.
Based on this information, is possible to tell if the rooster is dominant or recessive white? Same question about the hen?
Based on this information, is it possible that among the remaning ALL white feathered chicks, some are a cross and not part of the pure Bresse?
Thank you
