I think a coyote tried to snatch my turkey hen off of her roost and her tail appears to be broken, I guess?
It's just hanging and she's dragging in on the ground behind her.
She appears to be fine otherwise.
I didn't get a photo of it tonight but I will.
I just don't know anything about this. Can Turkey tails break? Will it heal itself? Is this going to affect her quality of life?
Any advice would be appreciated.
The picture is just a placeholder until I get a picture of her injured.

If the tail bone is broken, I doubt there is anything you can do about it. While the tail feathers may be dragging on the ground, I am sure the tail bone is not dragging on the ground.

Check to see if you can find an open wound. If you find an open wound, the seriousness of the wound will determine what your next step should be. If a minor wound, paint it with Blu-Kote and leave it alone. If it is a deeper wound, clean it and then paint it with Blu-Kote.

Good luck.
