Nine days ago my chickens were wormed with Fenbendazole (safe-gaurd). One of the hens has gone broody and I'm guessing the eggs need to be taken away due to the medication. Can someone confirm this? Is it the same as eating the eggs (14 days)?

Thanks a bunch!

There are no studies on this therefor no one can tell you if you should or should not take them away 100%. I have however had a great hatch from a broody that was treated with valbazen and sat on eggs laid by 3 hens that were treated just before laying them. I also know many people that used other wormers and had great hatch rates with a broody and affected eggs. I have not personally seen any side effects of the wormer with the chicks. I would say it is your discretion.

Great! Thank you for your reply. You saved a few chicks.
