Broody chicken gone crazy

Hey guys I have a chicken that went broody after another one hatched some chicks. I let her sit on the eggs and she hatched 2 yesterday. Clearly she is a bad mom I’m pretty sure she ate one and let the other die. But now she has gone crazy and attacking me. She was very sweet before she went broody. I’ve taken out the rest of the eggs since there seems no point in letting her hatch the rest she will just kill them but the attacking me thing is new. Will she break of this bad behaviour? Mine was aggressive with the first 2 chicks but calmed down afterwards

A little more information would help. What makes you think she ate one of the chicks? Did the chick just dissappear, or did you see anything else? The one that died, where was it? Did you find it dead under her, or was it abandoned? Any visible pecks or blood on it? Did you witness any aggressive behaviour while both chicks were alive under her?

As for the aggressive part, that can happen with broodies. They have to protect their young from threats, after all, humans can be viewed as a threat as well. Is she still sitting?

A little more information would help. What makes you think she ate one of the chicks? Did the chick just dissappear, or did you see anything else? The one that died, where was it? yes she was aggressively pecking at the chicks while they were trying to hatch. There was one that wasn’t completely out of the egg yesterday but completely disappeared. She abandoned the other one yesterday once it hatched but I got her to calm down and sit back on it but this morning it was cold dead and almost fluffy but she was still trying to sit on the eggs but it’s like she was not interested in them hatching. The was another one that was in hatch the other day that had also disappeared. So two completely gone. And another just left.

She was fine, not a terrible broody but as soon as they started to hatch she kind of went into crazy mode.
