Broody hen taking chicks

I have a amberlink hen who has been broody hard the past week and is sitting on infertile eggs. We don’t have a rooster or anyway to get her fertile eggs at rural king they have about week old chicks for 50 cents would it be worth it to put a few under her or will she not take them as hers and if she will what would be the best way of having her accept them

Do it at night, and make sure she accepts them. I would wait at least another week to make sure she’s ready to be a momma

Better have a backup plan. I tried putting 4 in tonight and they’re back in the tub in the barn. I just came to post and saw this. Everyone I’ve talked to said to put them under the broody hen at night. This girl has been sitting on eggs for a month (I switch them out) and she wasn’t having it. My other broody hen wasn’t happy about it either.
