Hey everyone,
I've lurked the site A LOT over the last year of having chickens for the first time. Now I have a question that I have not found the answer for yet.
I've got two laying girls (silver phoenix) and just got two chicks (mystic onyx) two weeks ago.
Now one of my girls has gone broody, I know it's too late to put her with the chicks since they are already bigger and feathering out.
I only have one to put her in broody jail and it's the same room as the chicks. Is that okay for them to be in the same room in separate crates? I would assume it's fine? If y'all need more info I'll reply as much as I can!
Thanks!
Rachael

Oh! I have an eglu coop, so when I've taken her out of the nesting box area I can close it off at night. Anytime there is an egg there, she's trying to incubate it. I also work full time so I can't come home and check if there are eggs every day.

Should be fine being separate, but in the same room, though the peeping of the chicks might make her hormones even wackier (that is, she might take a little longer than normal to break).
