Researching the area for property where it's allowed to raise backyard chickens, so far:
Calabash- prohibited any foul.
Sunset Beach Town - prohibited (not sure what this means for the un-incorporated areas).
Ocean Isle - seems to refer to Brunswick County general ordinances and there doesn't seem to be any restrictions.
South Port - seems at this time they are prohibited.

Researching Shallotte and surrounding areas at this time.

If anyone has any new info or differing info from my search I'd be happy to hear from you!

Chickens are allowed in any non incorporated area. I live in Southport but not in the city limits. So it is unincorporated and I can have chickens or water fowl.

Any update on shallotte? Or where to look? I live in a non HOA area?
