We have a few buff Orpington hens right now, and brought home another from a friend a couple months ago. We do not know her exact age, but my best guess is around 5 months. She is definitely younger than the other hens we have now, yet her comb and waddles are already quite a bit larger. Her legs are also much thicker, and her feathers are different in the neck area. So, chicken experts, what do we think? Is this a hen? Or did we accidentally adopt a rooster?
