Hi!! I am new to this site, I want to know what is poisonous to chickens. I have a large section of tree/bush in my yard and have no clue if it is good for chickens. also, I would like any other choices. I live in West Central Florida, the Gulf coast.

Thank you for all your help!!

:welcome :frow I already responded to your intro post but here I go again. I live near Ocala Florida. I planted Chinese Tallow trees in my pens. They are an invasive species fairly fast growing trees but I planted them anyway. They provide shade in the summer when the birds need it the most. I also built rain/shade tables for all of my pens. The birds also like to get under them.
First pic when I first planted the trees several years ago. I did cover my pens with good heavy duty netting because of aerial predators. As the trees grew I worked them up through the netting. I added more coops and pens and more netting and planted more trees. Good luck and have fun...

Wow, your pens are great!!! I wish that I had that much land!!!! I have a large backyard, but I am looking to get a place with at least an acre.

I've stopped worrying about toxicity. they will not eat it in enough quantity. You're attachment looks like cedar. A problem used for coop wood, but fine as a living tree, if my birds are an example.

Here is a picture of the tree in question.....I was thinking of using it so they would have another place to roost.

I'm sorry I have another picture. I would like to know if I can use this in my run? I don't know what it is. A friend of mine is doing lawn work and he left the braches in my yard to go out this weekend to go for the garbage.
