Hi there! My daughter and I had a successful hatch at the end of August. We gathered 12 eggs from and had 11 of them hatched!! Super exciting! But then as they have gotten older we found out all but three are male! I would like to see some of these guys go to a new home. Is anyone in or near New Castle County in Delaware looking for new males? We could also work out a 1/2 way point, possibly. They have been raised inside a huge guinea pig enclosure and are sort of friendly, meaning they do not flush when you put your hand in the enclosure to feed, water or clean. I have two blue face, a few silver ones (that have some white on them as well), and two white ones. See the pictures below, I can send more pictures if interested, just wanted to give you an idea of what they looked like.

Hi! Sorry for your situation.

You could try posting them here in our Buy/Sell Forum:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/animals-in-need-of-free-re-homing.16182/

Also, try your local/state poultry groups on Facebook. I have great luck there buying/selling my chickens/chicks. You have to be careful how you post there as they don't permit sales of animals. We get by posting a picture of them and saying for folks to message if interested.

Good luck!

Thank you for all that great information. Wasn't thinking of local facebook groups.

Much appreciated!

Try Craigslist. I hatched 5 and only one was female. When she started laying eggs with the male I paired her with, I hatched 10 (hoping for some hens for the extra boys) and ended up with the same 7:3 ratio. 😩

I listed the extra males on Craigslist for free and had so many responses from people with farms! Someone came and took all of my tiny Roos, and I gave him a handful of eggs I had on hand to incubate for a hen. Now I have four couples paired off and everyone is happy.

That white one is a beauty! I’d take him if I lived near you!
