I looked for the formula to calculate the volume (weight) of an egg. It's a little too complex because you have two end sizes. the volune of a sphere is 4/3 x pi x radius cubed.

ok. I cut to the quick and left off cubic inch to cc conversion showing my work, combined the 4/3 pi as well. Now I just need to know the radius, cube it, then multiply it by 96 (round to 100) and I get the weight of my egg estimate.

The density of an egg is not the same as the density of water, and you need to know density to convert from volume to mass. The easiest thing to do in my opinion is make your own chart by gathering length and widest width and mass of a large sample and then figure out your multiplication factor.

May I ask why you need to know? There are tons of websites that will show how many liquid ozs in an egg. Then you would just need a measuring cup.
