Did anyone get the new hybrid from Hoover’s Hatchery called the Calico Princess? I bought 4 ISA Browns, 2 White Leghorns, 3 Golden Comets and 1 Calico Princess . I am having a hard time differentiating between these two as to which is the Calico Princess. I think it’s the mostly dark one. Any opinions? It’s a new red sex link hybrid breed so I can’t find much out there. The other one with the white feathers I believe is a ISA Brown. They grew so fast that I couldn’t tell one morning!

I'm a little late here, but I joined just to comment...
I am also having a time finding information on my chicks.
I got mine from my partner as an Easter gift, since I'd been begging for a couple, and she bought from a local feed store.
The feed store girl also got two, but she said one of them has turned out to look exactly the same as her RIR's.
I'm including photos of mine (I only got two chicks to start with).
You can also find their album from 3 days old to last photo taken at 11 weeks (they are now 15 weeks old), on my Facebook page, (just look up Krystle Sweatt and the album should be public).

I have 15 Calico princess pullets. They are a new hybrid for 2018, therefor there is not much info on them yet. Got mine at Tractor Supply Store and they get their chicks from Hoover Hatchery. The Calico is supposed to lay about 290 cream colored eggs a year. From what I have the color varies on them somewhat. I am posting of picture of mine at 10 weeks old. You can't tell in the picture but the all have a greenish tint to their legs and feet. I think I read where they are a cross of RIR rooster and a Sussex hen. Hope this helps.

I bought a Calico Princess at Coastal Supply in Medford, OR. She is very friendly with a very quisitive personality. She is also a loving hen that has white wings till about 13 weeks and now has a multitude of sand colors mixed with white.

Will never get chickens from TSC ever again, pretty sure they throw whatever in with whatever. I bought six Sex Links two years ago and half looked like some kind of mix and the other three have very similar coloration as the Princess line. Just a bit faded out.

Just thought I'd add to this thread as I also had a tough time finding any information about the calico princess. I have one that I'm guessing is about 6 months old. She's my bravest and most inquisitive chicken right now, and loves to come up to my feet to beg for treats. She's currently laying beautiful jumbo sized cream colored eggs for us. :) I enjoy her very much, so I've ordered another calico in my chick order for this spring. I've attached a pic of her dust bathing with her sidekick.

I work at TSC now and it’s very hard to screw up putting breeds of chicks in the correct bin. However, the hybrid sex link breeds don’t breed true because they are mutts.
