Call duck prolapse phallus HELP needed

I have a call drake Ronald I noticed 4 days ago he had a prolapse phallus I did lots of research and looked at threads on here to help, I do not have a vet near me that can help, I realised the end was dead and looked black I made the decision to cut it off I gave him pain relief last night and tonight before I cut it, I started with a small amount which was definitely dead, I then cut a little more which did cause a little bleeding I used silver pen to cauterise it. I used Vetericyn plus spray and tucked the remaining bit back in with manuka honey, it is not bleeding but isn’t staying in.
I am worried I haven’t cut enough as still a little crusty but because it was bleeding a little I felt that was healthy tissue and didn’t want to take anymore off, is it not staying in because it’s a little swollen or have I done something wrong,
Ronald is very well in himself eating drinking and bathing well cleaning himself fine
