Can chickens eat baby cucumbers

I want to feed my chickens something different to watermelon and strawberries.
I searched that you can feed them cucumbers. Just wanted to check and can they eat them raw or cut up or anything like that?

Yes, they can have anything except alliums, high salt, high fat and chocolate, in small amounts.
Make sure not to go over 10% of their daily diet.

Everything is eaten raw by wild animals; it is only we who cook our food.

Think of your chickens as little dinosaurs. They are omnivores - eat everything. Their beak has evolved from a mouth with teeth, and in general works very well for them when faced with natural foods (which do not normally contain excess salt, sugar, fat or include processed foods like chocolate).

Their appetites have evolved to tell them what they need to eat and in what quantities. Wild birds aren't obese.

You can offer your chickens any real food you have. They will probably try it, and may eat it straightaway or come back to it later when their bodies have had chance to evaluate the sample. Just like us, they have individual preferences. For example, some of mine love banana and others can take it or leave it. They all like grass and the small fauna that lives in, on and under it. They need green stuff. There is no need to limit it to any random percent; you can safely let them choose how much of what to eat.

Have fun experimenting; a variety of foods is the best thing you can provide.

That's a distinct YES. Also, its almost all water - less chance of wreckign their regular diet than, say, sunflower seeds or dried meal worms.

Plenty of us offer chilled veg like cukes, cantelope, watermelon, etc during the highs of summer as entertainment, trace electrolytes, and more water + plus chilled.

I usually toss mine into the pasture - if it breaks open, it breaks open. My birds equate me throwing something w/ treats and come running - so whether its broken open or not, they come destroy it.

They'll love them, let them have at it (in moderation of course, too many watery fruits and vegetables at once can cause runny poop)
