Can chickens have cooked rabbit bones. I boiled some rabbit backs and flaps to make broth. there is a bit of meat and skit etc. Can chickens have it or will the bones get stuck in their throat?

If the bones are large, no problem as they won't eat the bone but will pick the bones clean. If they're small, possible problem, bones tend to splinter once cooked, if it looks to be a choking hazard then do your best to knock the meat off the bone for your flock and discard the bone or crush it into even smaller bits. If the bones are tiny, rock-like (grit-like) bits, then no problem; you'd be amazed at the 'grit' I've found in a chicken's gizzard.

Rabbit bones are tiny. I only use the back/ribs and flaps for broth so all are small. This is regular broth not bone broth so the bones do not crumble.

I have an old meat grinder and had thought about something similar. I trout fish and had the idea of the amazing protein source from the heads & scrap.

We actually had a hen that would stand at the edge of the pond & grab small bluegill & minnows.

our chickens eat all kind of cooked bones. If pressure cooked we throw them as they are, if they are hard we crUsh them with 2x4 over paving stone.

Never had problems with any bones stuck (including sharp fish bones). Only once a clam shell piece has stuck across chicken mouth so it would not close.

I regularly give my chickens the left over BBQ/roast Chicken and chicken that I have boiled for broth.
I would not give to chicks or where the family dog can reach them!
