Can hybrid chickens be shown at poultry shows?

My question is can a mixed/hybrid chicken for example a showgirl or sizzle and the many other crosses be entered in poultry event? Are they seen as a breed? I have so many questions.

As I understand it, yes, but in APA and ABA sanctioned shows they can't win champion or reserve in any category unless they are a breed in the standard.

Yes, apologies! APA is the American Poultry Association and ABA is the American Bantam Association, exactly as you guessed.

They aren’t seen as a breed. Non recognized breeds can be shown at poultry shows (only getting up to best of breed), but hybrids can only be shown at fairs.

Thank you both and I looked at older post and see alot of controversy over the hybrid and the name showgirl, sizzle, and strippers. I see why so may think they are adorable. I also see why people may be offended. Now people cross many animal types like a zorse a pomapo...Hopefully eventually there can be an entries for hybrids I think it will bring more interest and education to newbies like myself specially children in poultry. The silkies we just got are like house pets lol.

Like I said, you can in fairs, but shows are for Standard bred poultry. (purebred chickens bred to meet the written Standard.) There is no hybrid entry and there will not be one because we are committed to breeding and preserving purebred poultry, also the hybrids don’t have written Standards.

People do exhibit naked necked Silkies and Satins though. Only white Naked Necked Silkies are accepted, however, the others can be exhibited.
