My Austra white has been acting in a way that makes me suspect she is going broody. I catch her sitting in the nesting boxes almost every time I go outside. She is very angry and poofy when I push her off the nest. She is still laying so its not full brood, but today I caught her on an egg that isn't even hers next to the box she laid. I also have been finding soft white fluffy feathers in the boxes which I read can be a sign. Other than collecting eggs as much as possible (which I already do), is there any way to nip this in the bud before she goes full broody? I dont have a rooster and already have a chick order placed so I dont have any interest in hatching at this time. Also I don't really think I have the setup to keep a mama and eggs/babies safe from the rest of the flock.
